Frequently asked questions

What do you provide for babies and young children?

We know what a pain it is to have to drag a car full of baby kit around with you! Therefore, for those with children, we provide:

  • Travel cot*
  • High chair
  • Children's cutlery and selection of bowls, plates and cups
  • A selection of toys is available within the apartment for young children, in addition to child appropriate books and DVDs

We also provide a number of plug socket covers, but recent recommendations from the Department of Health are that these should not be used.  The choice is therefore up to parents.  More information can be found at:  http://www.nurseryworld.co.uk/nursery-world/

* Baby bedding for the travel cot: As everyone has different preferences, please bring your on baby bedding with you

And in our family friendly Whitby Pad Apartment, we have the following additional facilities:

  • Toddler chair
  • Bottle warmer and sterilizer
  • A limited selection of emergency baby supplies for those items you have forgotten

Because of our efforts to cater for families, we are very proud of our 'Families Welcome' Accreditation from Quality in Tourism for Whitby Pad Apartment.

Do you provide towels and bed linen?

Yes we do. We believe that you shouldn't have to bring everything but the kitchen sink with you when you go on holiday and after all, towels in your suitcases take up precious space for shoes and glamorous dresses?!!

With Whitby Holiday Homes, we provide all bed linen and towels for use in the apartment. Please do bring towels for the beach with you as our towels are too soft and fluffy for ruining on the sands!!

If you need use of the travel cot for your little one, please let us know and we will make sure it is ready for use. Bedding for the cot is provided, but as we do not have a lot of spare sets, we recommend bringing extras with you in case of accidents.

1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per guest provided each week or stay, whichever is shorter. However, if you do need towels replacing during your stay, we are happy to do so, so just give us a call!

Do you offer free onsite parking?

Free Onsite Parking?

Yes we do provide free onsite parking.  Both our Caedmons Prospect apartments come with parking for 1 car in an undercroft with keycode access.  Additional parking can often be found on road to the rear of the complex and visitor bays are available on a first come first served basis to residents on Caedmons Prospect.

Whitby Harbour apartment comes with parking for 1 car in an undercroft, with key access.

Can I check your Star Rating with Quality in Tourism?

Quality Rating Checks

We were annually audited by Quality in Tourism and were awarded 4 Star Gold awards for the 2 apartments they visited.  However, we chose to leave the scheme in 2017, as we felt that TripAdvisor and social media were just as good at providing us with impartial feedback.

  • Whitby Pad apartment was previously rated 4 Star Gold.
  • Whitby Gardens apartment was previously rated 4 Star Gold.
  • Whitby Harbour apartment has been recently renovated but was never audited by Quality in Tourism
  • Whitby Penthouse apartment has been recently renovated but was never audited by Quality in Tourism
Do you publish guest feedback?
