Get ready for the Tour de Yorkshire!

The Tour de Yorkshire starts today and we can't wait!  Day 1 (today) starts in Bridlington in East Yorkshire and passes through the North York Moors, before entering Whitby and ending in Scarborough.  Roads are being closed in Whitby as we speak to enable the speed trial section through Whitby to proceed safely.  It promises to be really exciting as is the first ever Tour de Yorkshire,coming about due to the success of last year's Grand Depart of the Tour de France in Yorkshire.

It is also the first outing for Sir Bradley Wiggins, since Team Wiggins began racing at the end of March.  Its founder, Sir Wiggins will be wearing a nostalgic  kit modelled on the classic red and blue colours used by Great Britain until lottery funding was available.
