Whitby is a historic and popular tourist town situated on the edge or the North Yorkshire moors and at the mouth of the river Esk. The townscape has had little change in more than a century so you will be able to visit the ancient port, ruined abbey and popular working harbour.

With boat trips, donkey rides, fantastic beaches and parks, this is a perfect place for children. But for adults, the wine bars, great restaurants, fabulous scenery, great cycling routes, The North York Moors Railway, superb walking routes and a whole host of shops to potter around, including Whitby's famous jet jewelry shops will keep you busy all week or longer! Not to mention some of the best fish and chips in the world!

Throughout the year there are a number of events including Goth Weekend, Whitby Regatta, and Whitby Folk Week.
